On Jan. 14, 2019 (local time), the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) opened at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. Suntech, as an invited exhibitor, brought many quality products that drew considerable attention from visitors within and outside the industry.

Suntech’s goal as a participant in WFES was to continue to dig deep into the Middle East market. The Middle East is characterized by strong sunshine and a desert environment. Therefore, Suntech exhibited its polycrystalline PERC anti-soiling module. Compared with standard modules, Suntech anti-soiling modules can effectively reduce dust accumulation, cut the cost of surface cleaning and maintenance, and improve power by approximately 1.3%. Additionally, the double-glass bifacial module exhibited was captivating to all who saw it. As a new favorite in the solar module market in 2018, Suntech’s P-type monocrystalline double-glass bifacial module can increase power generation by as much as 25%, and its 30-year linear warranty enhances the core competitiveness of the products. The products are also compatible with multiple technologies and can thus bring higher profits to customers in the Middle East. As a result, the P-type monocrystalline double-glass bifacial technology represents the future of the PV modules. Visitors at the booth eagerly requested more product information.

As the largest exhibition of renewable energy technologies in the Middle East and North Africa, WFES was inaugurated by the Masdar-Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company. The event is global platform dedicated to promoting the world’s future energy development, including energy efficiency, clean technology, renewable energy, environmental sustainability, technological innovation and business-investment opportunities. China and the UAE became friends because of the Silk Road, so it’s natural that the two countries would partner in building the Belt and Road. Meanwhile, the UAE has excellent geographical conditions, particularly with annual solar radiation averaging 2,000-3,200kWh/m². Most areas have more than 2,400 hours of sun exposure annually. In 2018, the installed PV capacity reached 625MW for a ranking of second place in the Middle East. At the same time, the demand for PV installation in nearby Jordan, Qatar and Oman is high. Accordingly, the UAE and the Middle East markets have infinite potential. This exhibition will last for four days until January 17th. Welcome to visit Suntech booth for consultation.

Our ancestors traveled through the desert and sailed on the sea to develop trade. Today, Suntech measures the continents with its footsteps on a path to global leadership. Regardless of distributed projects or power plant projects, Suntech has taken root in the golden soil of the Middle East and will continue to thrive.
