A total of 3,490 pieces of Suntech solar modules were installed from April to June 2019 and is expected to generate about 1,007,737 kWh of electricity a year, which is equivalent to saving 332 tons of standard coal per year.
This project required higher safety measures for its rooftop system due to the presence of inflammable and explosive materials in the factory. Suntech’s double-glass polycrystalline modules which feature high fire resistance are able to ensure the operation safety of the factory’s rooftop project to a certain extent.
In the first quarter of 2019, Suntech also supplied modules to Shell’s Moerdijk power station project in the Netherlands which has been successfully completed. The 76,000 pieces of solar modules provided by Suntech to the Shell Moerdijk Solar Park has a peak capacity of up to 27 megawatts, which is equivalent to the energy consumption of 9,000 Dutch families. This power station is currently operating in good condition.
